About the piece:
When I got the commission for the “Hallelujah” festival and the theme of the festival was passions, I started looking for ancient Jewish texts. This is how I came to a very special and mystical text by Yehuda Halevi.

The text is untitled and when I read it to different people, each of them interpreted the text differently. The text is very abstract just like contemporary arts.

Over the time, I discovered that Yehuda Halevi’s text is one of the riddles he wrote. For most of the riddles, he wrote down the answers in parentheses, but this text has no answer. That is why I called the work “Riddle”.
